The following photos will illustrate, step-by-step, the initial setup of the iSpin-NMR GX-5 system with a SpinCore magnet and probe.

Note: This GX-5 system has an internal diode. For iSpin-NMR systems that have external diodes, instructions can be found here.

Probe Setup
1. Unpack the probe.
2. Attach the vertical probe mount.
3. Attach the horizontal probe mount.
4. Fasten both the side knurled knobs.
5. Attach the RF probe cable.

Magnet Setup
6. Unpack magnet and base.  Place the base on a sturdy surface, with the grooved side facing up.
7. Place the magnet on top of the base with the specifications label facing you.
8. Gently insert the probe and tighten the two side knurled knobs to fasten the bracket on to the magnet.

iSpin-NMR Setup
9. Connect the RF probe cable to the "To Probe" of the iSpin NMR console.
10. Connect the lambda/4 cable to the iSpin NMR, one end to each port.
11. Assembled probe and connected lambda/4 cable.

Sample Setup
12. Prepare the NMR sample tube for insertion into the probe. Use the Optimal Position sticker on the side of the magnet to adjust for the correct placement of the sample in the probe.
13. Gently insert the sample into the probe.
14. Assembled system with sample.  Ready for NMR experiments.
