A post-doctoral research assistant position is
available in the lab of Dr Mateus Webba da Silva at University of
Ulster.
It focuses on folding of G-quadruplex nucleic acids-
see e.g. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 48 (2009) 9167-9170. Applicants
should have been awarded a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, physics or a
related area. Experience with one or more of software programming,
biomolecular structure calculations, and kinetics studies would be
desirable. The applicant should be willing to participate in the upkeep
of our dedicated Facility. This is a BBSRC funded post available for
three years from April 2010.
