This
project examines how protein flexibility is modulated as a function of
ligand binding and evolutionary divergence by a combination of NMR
spectroscopy and macromolecular computational analysis. The Wadsworth
Center NMR facility has a Bruker 600 MHz spectrometer equipped with a
TXI cryoprobe and a Bruker 500 MHz spectrometer equipped with
conventional probes. The Wadsworth Center is also a full member of the
New York Structural Biology Center Consortium with significant access
to the high field instrumentation, including two 900 MHz and three 800
MHz Bruker spectrometers.
Candidate requirements
A PhD
degree is required with either pre-doctoral or post-doctoral experience
in biomacromolecular NMR. Additional experience in either chemical
enzymology or macromolecular computational analysis will be beneficial.
