A postdoctoral research associate position is available in Professor
Chunyu Wang’s group (http://www.rpi.edu/research/biotech/researchers/wang.html),
in the Biology Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in
Troy, NY. Research in the Wang lab focuses on the structural biology of
proteins involved in Alzheimer’s disease using solution NMR. The Wang
lab is housed in the recently completed Center for Biotechnology and
Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS). Within CBIS, an NMR facility has been
established with 600 MHz and 800 MHz Bruker NMR spectrometers, both
equipped with cryoprobes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligibility for appointment as a postdoctoral
research associate requires an M.D. or Ph.D. in any relevant area.
Experience with NMR structure calculation of proteins, protein dynamics
with NMR spin relaxation and/or NMR of membrane proteins is strongly
preferred. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience. The
successful candidate will be offered a one-year contract renewable upon
satisfactory performance.
