Postdoctoral Research Scientist: Structure and Dynamics of Elastin

City University of New York, New York, USA.

Description: A postdoctoral fellowship sponsored by the NIH for NMR imaging and spectroscopic studies of elastin. The work will be performed at York College of CUNY which currently houses a 400 MHz and two 200 MHz NMR spectrometers. In addition the laboratory has access to the New York Structural Biology Center located on the campus of City College. 

Qualifications:  Ph.D. or equivalent. The candidate should be familiar with multiple pulse NMR, multiple quantum NMR and the implementation of pulsed gradient fields. The candidate will also be familiar with designing NMR probes and will ideally have some experience handling biological samples, interpreting NMR data and protein structure determination by NMR. The studies will involve both theoretical and experimental work.

The position is available immediately. You must have existing US Employment Authorization.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package will also be provided.
